Youth Archery Camps

Youth Archery Camp is Columbus Archery’s youth development program designed to teach self-confidence, focus, and discipline through the sport of archery.

With every arrow released, students develop patience, resilience, and the ability to center themselves, skills that translate to success in school, sports, and life. Every participant learns to set goals, stay present, and aim high for their future.

  • Archers Ages 12-14

    This course focuses on communication skills, building trust within ourselves and our friendships, and deepening self-awareness. Our Certified Youth Instructor focuses on tools for building social and emotional readiness and their archery skillset.

    The young Archers are met with a licensed professional to go over how to utilize emotional skillset tools. Upon completion each student will graduate with their Archer Certificate.

    Applications are reviewed 2 weeks before the program, payments will be due at acceptance.

  • Archers Ages 15-17

    This course focuses on self-awareness, calmness tools, and developing leadership skills. This program allows our Archers to build mentorship skills with our Elders with building community through intergenerational guiding. Focusing on leadership development to build real-world life skills.

    Upon completion, Level 1 Archers can utilize these new skills to mentor the younger archer class and Elders programming.

Takeaways

When your youth applies for this program they are given the chance to meet with their peers 3 times a week for 2 hours over a 3 week course. Gaining the knowledge of Archery’s basics along with gaining emotional management tools. This course is thought out with our Mental wellness partner ‘Healing without Limits’ where each training course is curated to challenge the young archers physically, mentally, and emotionally by giving them the tools through Archery.
